Taking control one small step at a time

So many hats to wear, so much juggling to be done. Today I've taken the time to try to silence my mind a little bit. I am recovering from a head cold, children are away at their father's home for the night. This leaves me with some much needed ME time to collect some of the thoughts in my head and put them down on paper and yes...typing. Self-motivation for someone who is not consistent with it can be very difficult. Kind of goes back to my previous post of being your own cheerleader...you have to push yourself to get things done in some kind of order. Sometimes it feels as if it is easier said than done. You always have to remember the bigger picture, that if you want to move ahead in life, you have to set goals. Once you set those goals, a system must be in place so that you are reminded of the goals and set out to accomplish them. This can be done in baby steps. This is a habit I will be exercising as my future endeavors will require a better system than the one I have now, which is NADA! Just as a daily thing, write some basic things you want to accomplish whether you put it in your phone, have a special notebook, a dayrunner, calendar at home...something that will help you keep track and that you can keep tabs on and refer to. Let's see how it helps. Let's do it for a week which just 2 or 3 things a day and then build from there to bigger and better things. Good Habits can be seen as yet another muscle to exercise. It takes time to build but if you are consistent the benefits are quite rewarding.
